Sears LT issues

I've got a 1 year old LT 917., Briggs 20hp. I've been experiencing shutoff problems for a year and as early as yesterday, and I'm firmly convinced it has to do with either the seat switch and/or one of the safety shutoff switches. Checked the fuel cap, fuel filter, seat switch, run Stabil.
